Yes, we know that Meredith was some weeks ago, but we kid you not, one half of GFV is still on the biggest high of the experience that is three days of cheeky drinks, dancing till the sun comes up and the sheer happiness that only sharing such moments with your best friends bring.
Ahhh Meredith… Booze, tents, gum boots and more booze. We came, we saw and we conquered the 20th annual Meredith Music Festival 2010. And who said the pretty ladies of GFV (Ok one half) couldn’t rough it out and live wild, literally, like Bear Grylls?
The countless memories, though blurred, are ones dominated by first-class friends, fun times and smooth tunes provided to us via the diaphragms of some of music’s finest names including “ Little Red” the soulful “Sharon Jones and the Dap- Kings”, and the legendary “Neil Finn”.
Note, to the fashionistas: Not only are Wellies an essential in the great Australian countryside, they are also super cute and super trendy. Gone are the days of the unsightly and masculine farmer gum boots. Present at Merideth was an array of boots with many different designs on display. And for those who like to keep it girly, I kid you not, there was one dare devil who was rocking a wedge on the bottom of her willies!
The vibe was indescribable, seriously, if you haven’t done a Meredith yet, you don’t know what you’re missing kid.
